Terms of Use

1. Scope
These terms apply to your use of the Fahrtenbuch Automatisch app (the “app”) provided by Cihat Karaboga (“we”, “us”). Your licence to use the app is granted under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”). These terms add to the Standard EULA; if they conflict, the Standard EULA prevails with respect to Apple.
2. What the app does
The app helps you keep a mileage log: it records trips using your device's location services, lets you classify them and add details, checks them for plausibility and creates reports and exports. The claimable amounts shown in the app are estimates based on published standard rates for your selected region.
3. Not tax advice – please check your logbook
The app is a tool. It is not tax, legal or accounting advice, and we can't guarantee that a tax authority will accept a logbook created with it. GPS, address lookup and route calculation can be inaccurate, and automations may occasionally fail to start or stop a recording. You remain responsible for checking your trips, keeping your logbook complete and correct, and for your tax return. If you're unsure what your tax authority requires, please ask a tax adviser.
4. Safe and lawful use
- Don't use the app while driving. Recording runs automatically; classify and edit trips only when you are parked safely or not the driver.
- Only use the app to record your own trips, or trips of other people who have agreed to it. Using it to monitor others without their consent is not allowed.
- Don't attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt or misuse the app or its purchase system.
5. Free features and Pro subscription
The core features of the app are free. Additional features (currently logbook export, closing weeks with documented corrections and multiple vehicles) are available with a Pro subscription, purchased as an auto-renewable in-app subscription through the App Store.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically for the same period (monthly or yearly) unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- If a free trial is offered, it converts into a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Any unused part of a free trial ends when you purchase a subscription.
- You can manage and cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions). Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Prices are shown in the app and the App Store before purchase. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies – you can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- You can restore previous purchases on a new device via “Restore purchases” in the app, using the same Apple Account.
We may change which features are part of Pro in future versions. Features you have already paid for during an active subscription period will not be removed during that period.
6. Your data
Your logbook data is stored on your device only, as described in our Privacy Policy. We have no copy of it. Please keep backups of your device and export your logbook regularly – we cannot restore lost data. You keep all rights to the content you create in the app.
7. Availability and changes
We continuously develop the app and may change, add or remove features. We try to keep the app working reliably but can't guarantee that it will always be available, error-free or compatible with every device and iOS version.
8. Liability
We are liable without limitation for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and wherever liability is mandatory under applicable law (for example product liability law). Otherwise, and to the extent permitted by law, we are only liable for the breach of essential obligations whose fulfilment is necessary for the proper use of the app, limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this kind of app. We are not liable for tax consequences resulting from incomplete or incorrect entries that you did not check.
Mandatory consumer protection rights under the law of the country where you live are not affected by these terms.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when we add features. The current version is always available on this page, with the date it became effective.
